Femmycycle cup! Low cervix, and regular

Hello again :)

Here is my review on the Femmy Cycle cup :)

The femmycycle low cervix is on the bottom, and the regular femmycycle is on the top.

I bought the Regular femmycycle as a destash cup.  

FemmyCycle was nice enough to send me the low cervix for review.

The measurements from their website are as follows:

I do not have the teen one, so I cannot speak for it, but I find the FemmyCycles to be rather big.  I consider myself a wiz at using menstrual cups, so it did not bother me, but I know a few women who it would bother.  I also would like to say that the firmness of the cups wouldn't be more than maybe the diva cup alone, but that because they have such thick rims, it seems stiffer.

The Femmycycle comes in relatively nice packaging...  My box was crushed, but I don't think it was Femmecap's fault.

The femmycycle retails for $39.99 as a single cup, or $59.99 for two cups.

Something interesting, that I hear a lot on different menstrual cup resources is, that they can't get the femmycycle to collect flow.  I had been using the femmycycle for a 2 cycles before I read the directions that said to insert the femmycycle in the c-fold, backward:

The stem of the FemmyCycle was good.  I could easily get my finger in it, but it was not very stretchy.

as you can see, (ignore the glitter) the low cervix femmycycle is much shorter than the regular.

The Femmycycle bags are also very nice, but made in China.  The material feels like the reusable grocery bags type of material.

*******My Experiences*******

When I first used the FemmyCycle, it had such strong suction, that I was scared to get it out.  Next time I used it, I leaked.  And so on and so forth.  I do not particularly like these cups, but, overnight or on VERY heavy days, they can come in very helpful.  They do sometimes get "slippery" in there, and if you can imagine shoving a very slippery rubber dog toy type ball up there, then you can understand what I mean.  There are no grip rings, which makes it sometimes even harder to get it out.  The rim is also fairly hard to clean.  It also isn't as "leak-proof" as it claims to be.  BUT, with that said, I think for a seasoned cup user, the FemmyCycle may be a great choice.  It is very good in a 

c-fold.  It may also be great for someone with low pelvic floor muscle tone.  I have now mastered the use of the FemmyCycle, and on my heavy nights, I reach for it.  I also would like to say, my cervix moves throughout my period, and I can make both FemmyCycles work.  I would not go with the low cervix unless you are *100%* sure you have a LOW cervix.  If not, you may have a painful time removing the cup.

Aneer Chinese Menstrual Cup Review

Hi all!  So I posted a Fluercup entry, but it didn’t load…  :(  Anyway, This is my post on the Aneer cup off eBay.

I ordered a size 1 in clear, but they send me a size 2 in pink so I contacted the seller and they sent me the cup I originally ordered!  Yay!

I cannot upload my pics because they exceed maximum space capacity, so here are a few google pics…

So…  :)  Anyway, I had really great pics of the firmness and such but it is not loading…  I wish that I could show…  It is really squishy…  Too soft for comfort.  It works for me, but I consider myself a pro, it would be very hard to use for a beginner because it doesn’t pop open easily.  It would be great for someone who needs a very soft cup though.  The cup is very translucent, minimal pink color.  It is also very long, and has a good grip stem. The body is an exact Diva replica, but the stem is completely Lunette.

I would not suggest this as a beginner cup because it is so hard to get to pop open.

DIY Cloth Menstrual Pad- Easy!

Hi ya’ll, it’s Jenn again!  On this post I will be showing you all how to make a cloth pad.  I make my own pattern and normally use buttons to finish but you could use snaps.  Pads are easy to make with a normal sewing machine… They can also be very cheap.  This pad is a 10.25″ regular pad but feel free to adjust length, width, absorbancy, and wing shape to your liking.  Here we go!

So, This is the finished pad, pre-fastened.  It is a beautiful mint floral top and mint fleece back…  The fleece is also low pill <3

Disposable Softcup Review!!!

Hi ladies!  I finally got around to doing this…  *Smiles*  So Here it is, my softcup review!

I have been using the softcup since they first came out.  I really like how comfortable they are and that they are an AMP (Alternative Menstrual Product…  I.E. anything other than conventional pads and tampons)!  They really hold my flow and that is a lot to give a cup!  Now, I do not consider them “true” menstrual cups, and wouldn’t say to someone, “Try a Softcup out, then buy a Diva cup.”  They are just too different to say that…  A friend of mine had a very bad experience with a traditional silicone menstrual cup but LOVES Softcups.  They come in a box of 6, 14, or 24 disposables or their reusable in a set of 2.  I have not yet tried the reusable kind as I couldn’t find them near me but, I contacted Softcup and they kindly offered to send me a sample of it!  You *can* technically reuse a disposable one and usually I try to wear them twice just to cut down on plastic waste.  They are fairly cost effective and you can use their $2 off coupon from their website (making them 25cents per 12 hours vs 4 hours for 2o cents on tampons) . www.softcup.com  :)  They also have a super cool wrapper that allows you to insert it, save the wrapper, wait 12 hours, take it out, dump the fluid, and place the softcup back into the wrapper so it can safely go into a waste basket or “lady stuff box”.  The softcup doesn’t have TSS risk, you cannot feel it once in, you can swim in it, you can have sex with it in, and personally I love the cost!  Here are some pics :)

Yuuki Menstrual Cup Review

Hello!  So as promised, a Yuuki Cup review!  I think I am only going to do a Yuuki and Softcup review this week, as I have not had my Fleurcup on my heaviest day.  With that said, let’s get started!

So overall, I really really REALLY like the Yuuki Cup.  I love their company and the companies care of the cup making process.  I contacted the company, at www.yuuki.cz/en and they were wonderful!  I got a pretty quick response, and they said they would love to send me a cup!  They sent me size 2 Soft which was great for me!  When I received my cup, it came in this packaging:

One of the super-cool features of the Yuuki cup is that it comes with an “infuser” box.  This plastic cylinder can be filled to the fill line with the cup in it, and boiled in the microwave for 5-6 minutes.  Then, you can store it in it.  At first, I was disappointed that it didn’t have a pouch but because I have so many cups it has come in handy :)

When I firstopened it it looked like this:

The Yuuki cup has some great directions!  The English isn’t “perfect” but pretty good, and for a company from Czech, I think it was well done.  The languages include:

• English
• Polish
• French
• German
• Russian
• Spanish
• Portuguese
• Italian

The Yuuki cup comes in three different stiffness’, including Soft (What I have, comparable to fleurcup or femmycycle), Medium, and regular.  I honestly was hoping to try the regular (also known as “the rock” in the cupping community because of how firm it is), but the soft is quite firm so that is okay.  The sizes are 1 (L-67mm; W-42mm; capacity to top- 24ml; capacity to rim- 13ml) and 2 (L-75mm; W-47mm; capacity to top- 37ml; capacity to rim- 25ml).

The company claims that this cup is useable for 10 years with proper care.  The silicone is very high quality aswell.  The holes were cut nicely and very easy to clean.  Here is the cup (Soft, size 2 Large) in my hand:

Here is the grip rings and stem vs. Lunette grip rings and stem.  I really loved the Yuuki’s grip rings because they were easy to grab but not tough on the outside. (hope that makes sense)

Here is the Yuuki stem from the top. It is hollow.

Here is a closer view of the Yuuki.  It has 2 measuring lines on the inside, size 2, and the word “Yuuki” on it.  This is also probably the best pic if you want to look at the suction holes.  They are really nice for not clogging easily.  I really liked them.

Here is the Yuuki in the punchdown fold.  It folds really small but doesn’t stay very easily in your hand for insertion.

Most of us know that the Diva Cup is considered a dang long cup, but the Yuuki is super long. I am sure there are many women who could cut the entire stem off and still have it be too long for them.

So what did I think about this cup?  I think it is a great cup, maybe one of the best out there if you match the following:

• you have a long vagina/high cervix (more like skyscraper cervix)
• you have a super heavy flow (most “heavy” periods will not need this much protection)
• you have strong pelvic floor muscles
• you are not sensitive to things being “in there” (i.e. if you can feel a tampon, this may not be for you)
• you do not have a sensitive bladder

I have match that criteria on certain days of my period so therefore it worked great then.  I do really like this cup and would give it an 8/10 :).  I have nothing but good things to say about the quality and the company.
